Our first BBQ event for the girls of Santa Maria Foundation took place in a glorious, warm weather. This lovely evening was organised by Nadia Kazolides, a fervent supporter of SMF.
She offered us the venue and supplied the food, all courtesy of her family restaurant Halepi
Lots of SMF supporters turned up, enjoyed a delicious meal and danced to the Latin Music.
Thank you Nadia! You are a star!!
It was an unprecedented success and the complements still arrive every day from our wonderful family friends of Santa Maria who showed their kind support in our cause. It is the support of more than 300 people like you on the evening that enables us to continue to materialise our mission.
We would like to say thank you to all of you: the volunteers, LA Fitness, Milleperle Exclusive Jewellery Shop, Ladurée at Harrods and trainer Haylene Ryan.
We hope you see you very soon.
Lady, Peter, Beatriz and the rest of the Directors were in Colombia entertaining and taking care of our lovely little girls.
We hadalready completed two Big Christmas parties there and we would then go on to organise New Year celebrations for the girls, as well as further support for the orphanages.
At the end of the two Christmas parties there were beautiful moments when the girls got together to say prayers for all you kind souls who support us.
The evening’s entertainment was contributed by the celebrated Simon Lawrence DJ to the stars Elton John, Valentino, Versace and Madonna, and was supported by a live performance by Brother Snare. Also DJ Ruben Cordero (King Conga) who has worked with some of the most important contemporary Latin artists supported a spectacular live Shakira Live Dance Show by the dancers from www.exquisite-experiences.com.
Apart from the enormous fun we all enjoyed, the events raised a considerable amount of money for our charity through the sale of raffle tickets by our group of devoted helpers and private donors. The prizes for which we thank LA Fitness, No 5 Cavendish Square, Hari’s Hairstyling, Zuma, Alexio Ferrero, Haylen Ryan, and G-Spa, contributed substantially to the amount raised.
We thank you all, our prize donators, our girl helpers and all 257 friends who turned up on the evening to join in and donate generously to our little orphaned Colombian Girls.
