Education is at the very heart of the Santa Maria Foundation’s mission. Many of the girls we support come from backgrounds of abandonment, poverty, or high-risk environments where access to education is limited or completely absent. The Child Education Support Program exists to ensure that every girl under our care is given the opportunity to learn, grow, and develop her intellectual potential in a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.
Through this program, donations are used to provide access to formal education, learning materials, school uniforms, books, language instruction, and academic mentoring. Education at Santa Maria Foundation goes beyond traditional classroom learning. We focus on developing critical thinking, communication skills, discipline, and self-confidence—qualities that enable young girls to succeed not only academically, but also socially and emotionally.
Many of the girls arrive at Santa Maria Foundation having experienced disruption in their schooling or having never attended school at all. This program helps bridge those gaps by offering personalised educational support tailored to each child’s abilities and needs. English language education is a key component, opening doors to higher education and international opportunities that would otherwise remain out of reach.
By supporting this program, donors help break the cycle of poverty and exclusion. Education provides these girls with the tools they need to make informed choices, pursue higher education, and eventually become independent, confident women. Every contribution directly supports a child’s journey toward dignity, self-worth, and long-term opportunity.
