A. RECOGNITION OF SERVICE TO PETER MOWLAND, PRESIDENT AND BEATRIZ FRANCO ROCHA, DIRECTOR
As part of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the foundation, a ceremony took place on Saturday, December 1, 2018 during which the Director of the foundation in Colombia received a 10-year recognition for the voluntary service for girls in the municipality of Chía Peter and Beatriz helped to consolidate the foundation from its origins and to date she has carried out work of constant service and support throughout for the legal set up and running of the foundation and support to the staff. Thanks to them for each and every day they have dedicated to the foundation.
B. STRENGTHENING OF THE ORCHESTRA AND THE SMF CAMERATA.
In 2018, the Santa Maria Foundation began an orchestral process with a group of 25 girls between the ages of 8 and 17 and who had at least one year of musical training. In the year 2019, initially under the direction of the teacher Carolina Guzmán and later under the direction of the teacher María de los Ángeles Porras Cruz, this orchestra achieved a remarkable consolidation and evolution in the proposed musical processes.
The Chamber Orchestra also integrated 7 more girls, and is now made up of 19 girls who demonstrated during the year the results of a process of discipline, perseverance, continuity and commitment to their music and the foundation.
C. GIRLS OF THE FOUNDATION CLEMENCY, LOVE AND SERVICE MAS (HOUSE ON THE ROCK)
This year, with the support of Pastor José Elmer Machado and his wife Mrs. Marisol Villabón Directors of the MAS Foundation, they gave us the opportunity to continue working in SMF, with 13 girls from this Home. The girls had the opportunity to enjoy English, choir, instrument classes, interact with our volunteers and enjoy all the processes offered at the Santa Maria Foundation.
D. CAROLINA ELIZABETH GUZMÁN RINCÓN COORDINATOR OF THE PROCESSES OF MUSIC AND DIRECTOR OF ORCHESTRA.
Carolina Guzmán Master in Orchestra Conducting from Simón Bolívar University of Caracas Venezuela and music teacher with an emphasis in Choral Conducting from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia, with extensive experience in Orchestral and Choral Conducting in entities such as the Symphony Orchestra of Bogotá, Batuta, the philharmonic orchestra of Bogotá, among others, began a process of coordination and support for the musical processes of the foundation. Also in the direction of the orchestra and the SMF Camerata. Master Carolina supported this process until June 2019. Thank you to the teacher for her sweetness, wise teachings and great lessons she left to the girls in our organization.
